  • How long is the program?
    Our program is 4 weeks long. We run a full time schedule, from Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. Your commitment is essential, as is our commitment to you!

  • I'm 18 years old, can I get my CDL?
    Yes. However, CDL holders under the age of 21 are restricted from driving outside of the state of their licensed domicile. Once you turn 21, you would have to update your CDL to remove the age restriction from your license.
  • Do I need a high school diploma or G.E.D. to get my CDL?
    We are an accredited institution through the Tennessee Higher Education Commission, therefore the prerequisite to have your high school diploma or G.E.D. is required.
  • What documentation will I need to bring?
    You will need your driver's license, a D.O.T. Certified Physical Examination and Medical Certification, your Social Security Card, Official State Issued Birth Certificate (Not the hospital issued certificate), two (2) proofs of domicile (Car Registration and Utility Bill in your name, authenticated by the utility company), and your high school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Do you offer financing?
    The academy does not offer direct financing, although we do offer discounts to cash paying students. There are also many programs available that may sponsor your tuition, such as through the military or other community or county employment programs. Student loans are also accepted through our affiliate college. Need help? Give us a call and we can direct you to a option that would suit your situation.
  • Can I have an out of state license?
    Unfortunately, no. All students coming through our school must possess a license in which the school is located. However, once you have obtained your CDL, it is transferable to any state!
  • Do you offer weekend programs?
    At this time, no. Out program is very stringent. It requires commitment and attendance, Monday through Friday, from 8am to 5pm.
  • I already have a permit, do I have to go through your permitting class?
    Yes. But the class teaches so much more than just permitting! Everyone enrolled must complete all 4 weeks of training, regardless of permit status.

IMPORTANT DISCLOSURES

Contact hours earned at Armored Trucking Academy, LLC may not transfer to another educational institution. Contact hours earned at another educational institution may not be accepted by Armored Trucking Academy, LLC. You should obtain confirmation that Armored Trucking Academy, LLC will accept any contact hours you have earned at another educational institution before you execute an enrollment contract or agreement. You should also contact any educational institutions that you may want to transfer contact hours earned at Armored Trucking Academy, LLC to determine if such institutions will accept contact hours earned at Armored Trucking Academy, LLC prior to executing an enrollment contract or agreement. The ability to transfer contact hours from Armored Trucking Academy, LLC to another educational institution may be very limited. Your contract hours may not transfer and you may have to repeat courses previously taken at Armored Trucking Academy, LLC if you enroll in another educational institution. You should never assume that contact hours will transfer to or from any educational institution. It is highly recommended and you are advised to make certain that you know the transfer of contact hours of Armored Trucking Academy, LLC and of any other educational institutions you may in the future want to transfer the contact hours earned at Armored Trucking Academy, LLC before you execute an enrollment contract or agreement.
